It's winter in Australia at the moment so you know you need some nice winter lipsticks. A vampy lippy is a staple for me when it comes to winter and it can just complete your look. Just a bold lip, mascara and a bit of colour on the cheeks will have you looking stunning.
The lipsticks are by a brand called Colour Theory. They come in a see through plastic tube, I do wish they came in a black tube but I guess this is actually better as you can see through the plastic if you have a huge lipstick collection.
They are called 'Fun With Plum' and 'Mystique'. The colours are absolutely gorgeous and they last all day. Also, they are highly pigmented and leave your lips moisturised.
Here I am wearing 'Mystique'
These beauties are available exclusively at Amcal Chemists Nationwide and amcal.com.au for $6.
What are some of your staple winter lipsticks? Let me in the comments below

I did a blog post a last week about my new hair do and I thought I would give you all an insight into the oh so easy process I went through to get my hair this platinum blonde :)
Warning: Lots of pictures!
My hair was dark black before the process began
I used the Innovative Creme developer and mixed it with Hi Lift bleaching powder.
Within minutes of applying the mixture to my hair, my scalp was burning. My head was on FIRE! I rinsed my hair and when I tell you the carrot top that I saw on top of my head was insane. I was so traumatised that I couldn't take a picture. I had read somewhere that after bleaching you hair, you need to use a toner to remove the unwanted yellow and gold tones.
So I used the Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde Toner.
Here are the results from using the toner. I wasn't completely happy with the turn out but it was okay for now.
After a few days I said to myself let me combat this hair because now it was turning into this brass/copper/hell on earth type of colour! I went and bought the Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde Cool Metallic Lightener.
This actually came with a set of products to mix and create the mixture before applying it to the hair.
So like I said after about 4 days my hair had gone to this copper/brown colour which looked terrible!
I applied the mixture from the Schwarzkorpf Cool Metallic Lightener and left it on for 30 minutes
I rinsed the hair and I looked like a wet poodle! Why me God?!
I applied the silver toning hair mask and left that on for 10-15 minutes.
I rinsed my hair and BABY! I was happier than a pig in mud. I had finally achieved the colour I had seen on these ridiculous stunning girls on Pinterest.
Check out the video I did on YouTube about this as well :)
It's always good to have a moisturing hand cream in your bag at all times. Our hands come in contact with so many external factors so we need to keep them protected at all times. I discovered this little beaut when I was actually doing some food shopping in Coles and somehow I ended up on the beauty and makeup section *shocked face* How did that happen ha!
It's the Redwin Daily Soothing Hydration with Vitamin E and Primrose Oil. It keeps your hands hydrated for hours on end. You can get it from Coles or Priceline for $5.
This was actually meant to be a makeup tutorial but clever clogs here forgot to actually press 'record'. I wasn't going anywhere today and I just felt like getting dolled up. Someone on Instagram asked me if I airbrush or photoshop my images and the answer is no, for all my makeup images I dont airbrush because I want my readers to see the raw image and results of any products I would have used.
The following are the products used:
Face
Mary Kay Timewise Foundation Bronze 5 Mary Kay Transluscent Powder Jouer Highlighter Maybeline Blush Mary Kay Eyebrow Pencil Brown Mary Kay Concealer Bronze 2 Eyes
Crown Brush Smokey Eye Pallette
Essence I love Extreme Lashes Mascara Black
Essence Eyeliner Black
The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes
If you have been following my blog you would know how much I love products that target very dry skin like mine. Dry skin can be such a problem because keeping it moisturised requires a lot of products but finiding just one simple product that actually keeps your skin moisturised is impressive.
So I got myself this little paradise in a jar Hemp Hand Oil firm The Body Shop. Its an oil that cares for extremely dry hands. It comes in a plastic bottle with a syringe like applicator, a little of it goes a long way to keep your skin hydrated for hours on end. Retailing at $20.95 for 15ml of the product from The Body Shop, it is a little bit pricey but its an investment your skin will thank you for.
I reshaped my nails a few days ago. I really like them this shape instead of the squaoval shape it looks nicer on me I think. I tried on a Revlon nail polish that I've had for a while but never got round to actually using it. Its called Sunshine Sparkle, such a shame that my Iphone didnt actually pick up the sparkle! Such a pretty colour to brighten up this awful weather we've been having in Syndey lately.
I was meant to put the post up last week and I forgot! :(
I went out for breakfast with the whole family. The place is called Pancake on the rocks and my oh my does it rock. The food was AHH-MAZING and got to enjoy it with my favourite people :)
A few weeks ago I was shopping in Chemist Warehouse when I came across the product. The Kosmea 'Hydrating Rosewater Mist' The great thing about this facial mist is that the rosewater is actually in its purest form. I use it almost every day and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and also gives me an instant glow. I was very impressed by it when I was flying last month, when you are flying your skin tends to dry up so I would just spray on a little just to resfresh and moisturise my skin. I also use it to set my makeup also and it works perfectly. I will definitely be buying this again. You can purchase this at your local drug store or on the Kosmea site.
I always love a pop of colour on my cheeks. These three are my absolute favourite go to everyday blushes. The are not bright, just enough look to make you blush (See what I did there?- haha).
The Body Shop - Ginger $27
Isn't she pretty! It gives such a smooth finish with a buildable colour and bit of shimmer and it will stay on your cheeks forever- not really forever but you get what I mean
Illamasqua Lover $38
This is so pigmented and rich in colour, it gives u very smooth satin matte finish. It can also double up as an eyeshadow too. This blusher goes with almost any look- love it!
Estee Lauder Rose Nuance $66
Sheer with a silky finish and its buildable to full intensity. Also, a little goes a long way with this blush.
I can't believe that I actually did it! I actually shaved my hair and bleached it.*shocked face*
I had been been thinking about doing this for so long for many reasons, one being I couldn't find a decent hairdresser for afro hair and two because I felt as though I needed to be fearless and as women we let our hair define us to much.
I'm not too happy with the colour, I will be bleaching it again so I can get that platinum blonde.

I'm one of those people that usually have just one perfume but lately I have been into perfumes quite a lot, I'm actually building a perfume collection. My recent purchase is the Gucci Guilty. Love.Love this scent . I purchased the perfume along with the lotion. I was shocked that I actually liked it because I usually like the floral and fruity scents but this is far from it. Its mature and classy. The scent doesn't last as long as I would like it to considering the price but I still like it none the less.
I'm all for neutral eye shadows so much that I find myself just buying them just because you can never have enough neutral in your makeup kit! I sound crazy don't I?
Yes to this awesome foursome!
It's the weirdest packaging I have come across yet. Its four eye shadow cubes in their own little plastic cubes and a lid placed in a large cube which has a lid too. It's such a task to get to the actual eye shadow, especially if you have long nails. I wish It was in a simple flip-open pallete, however it's still an amazing set eye shadows.
Why I love it:
The eye shadow is highly pigmented
Beautiful neutral colours with the right amount of shimmer
Why I hate it:
The packaging! A box in a box, in another box sigh*
Other than the packaging I absolutely love it, this is my everyday go to pallete, I can't go wrong. I can use the colours for soft smokey eye during the day and pair that with a bold lip for a night time look. The Shimmer Cubes are available at The Body Shop online and in store for $40AUD/ £16GDP
Have you tried the cubes? What did you think of them? let me know in the comments below :)
